Artist and designer Tomas King divides his time between Ireland and south-west France. His strong sense of colour and individual fluid painting style both in oil and watercolour, have gained him an international reputation. He is a member of several prestigious arts societies; ‘Arts et Lettres de France’, from whom he has received several awards; The Water Colour Society of Ireland and an associate member of The Ulster Watercolour Society.
Thirteen solo shows of his paintings have been held, and his work exhibited in major Salons throughout Europe. Painting in the ‘plein air’ tradition his impressionistic style captures the mood of his subjects, achieved only after many years working directly from nature.
Tom’s work has been applied to a range of hand-made art based products, and he recently introduced a new series of limited edition giclee prints from his graphic ‘Fantasia’ collection.
